Our Story
A message from our founder – Jim Rouches
We started The Crossings because we believed there had to be a better way. Too many of our brothers and sisters were cycling through a system that profited from their struggle but never set them free.
“You can’t think your way into right living, but you can live your way into right thinking.”
“Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
For years we watched the traditional continuum of care load everything onto the front end — capturing the dollars while people were detoxing, then discharging them long before lasting change could take root. One relapse, and the door closed behind them. We knew that wasn’t recovery. It was a revolving door.
A different kind of care
So we built something rooted in a simple truth: people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. At The Crossings we keep the barriers to entry low, we re-engage quickly when someone stumbles, and we walk with each person for the long haul — addressing spirit, mind, and body together.
We call it Transformational Recovery — a full-service continuum of care for the addiction and alcoholic community, anchored in a strong Christ-centered faith. It is genuine concern through every phase of a person’s development, delivered at a fraction of the cost of traditional treatment.
Hope without dope
We take everyone earnestly seeking recovery. We believe no one is beyond redemption, and that a transformed life — full of purpose, hope, and victory — is possible for anyone willing to take the first step. As we integrate Camp Healing & Wellness and expand our clinical programs, our mission only grows: to always work toward a path to health and wholeness.
