Support Staff
Kim Vaught is a proud veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, where she served her country with honor and dedication. Like many veterans, Kim faced significant challenges after returning home. For more than 30 years, she struggled with the hardships of street life and addiction, experiencing firsthand the difficulties that so many individuals in recovery face today. Two years ago, Kim made the life-changing decision to pursue recovery and begin a new chapter rooted in faith, hope, and purpose. Through perseverance, accountability, and a commitment to personal growth, she has remained steadfast in her recovery journey and continues to build a life defined by integrity, service, and compassion.
Today, Kim serves as a valued staff member with The Crossings Ministries, where her greatest strength is her lived experience. Having walked the difficult road from addiction and homelessness to recovery, she connects with those we serve in a genuine and meaningful way. Her testimony offers hope to individuals who may believe change is impossible, reminding them that lasting transformation is attainable through faith, support, and determination.
Kim is passionate about encouraging others, sharing her story, and helping individuals discover that their past does not define their future. Her life is a testament to God's restoring power and to the mission of The Crossings Ministries—to help people find freedom from addiction, rebuild their lives, and walk confidently into a future filled with hope and purpose.
Through her service, Kim continues to inspire others by demonstrating that no matter how difficult the journey has been, recovery is possible and every life has immeasurable value.
